The peripheral nervous system controls physiological functions by the autonomic nervous system that are carried out automatically, digestion, blood pressure, respiration, and sexual desire are controlled by ANS. There are three divisions in it: enteric, parasympathetic, and sympathetic. The limbic system gives autonomic regulatory input to the hypothalamus, which is located directly above the brain stem and works as an integrator for autonomic processes. The sympathetic nervous system, the parasympathetic nervous system, and the enteric nervous system are making the Autonomic nervous system.

A pediatric neurologist or child neurologist is a medical professional who works with nervous system disorders in children. The brain, spine, nerves, or muscles might be the starting point for nervous system issues. These may cause serious issues like migraines, seizures, or developmental delays. The child neurology field covers conditions that afflict people in various age ranges and affect the spinal cord, brain, peripheral nervous system (PNS), autonomic nervous system (ANS), muscles, and blood vessels.

Pediatric neurology is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of neurological problems in neonates, infants, children, and teenagers. Examines a child's medical history to know their growth and development and inform both the child and their guardians or parents about the importance of maintaining a healthy nervous and brain system. Physical examinations of the child that include assessing vital signs, blood pressure, and the condition of the brain and nerve system are also important. It is important to provide prescriptions, and orders and interpret laboratory and imaging tests.
