The 40th Global Psychiatry and Mental Health Conference will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, on July 10–11. Mental Health

Mental health is the psychological state of a person who is functioning in a high level of emotional and behavioral state. There are more than 200 forms of mental illness condition. Mental health includes a person's ability to enjoy life and strike a balance between the activities of normal life and striving to achieve human resilience. It is important at every stage of life, including childhood and adolescence, through adulthood. Half of the mental health conditions begin by age 14 and the rest develop by age 24. Prevention of mental disorders at an early age can significantly reduce the risks to a child in later life.


Dementia

A group of symptoms that significantly impede memory, thinking, and communication abilities is called dementia. Although there is no one specific disease that causes dementia, many diseases can. Although memory loss is a common symptom of dementia, it can have many different causes. Memory loss alone does not indicate dementia, despite the fact that it is often one of the first signs of the disease. Although there can be many other causes of dementia, Alzheimer's disease occurs most often in older individuals.

Private insurance provides 10-15% less reimbursement for psychiatrists than Medicare insurance as a result of which they avoid such patients. The uninsured population faces the biggest challenge to meet the cost of treatment and with the increase in the uninsured population since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation is even worse. The increasing prevalence of mental health disorders in the US is having a positive impact on the market. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, approximately 51 million adults in the US have mental problems. The demand for mental health services in America is increasing rapidly. This can be attributed to the increasing prevalence of mental disorders in the US and improved health reimbursement policies.


According to the CDC, there were a total of 56.8 million physician offices in the US for mental and neurodevelopmental disorders. In 2019, of the 51.5 million adults with an AMI in the US, about 23.0 million (44.8%) received mental health services in the past year, according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
